The red fleshed Dragon Fruit is a little sweeter. I just love the beauty of it, the colours, the seeds, the crisp flesh, the texture, the freshness on a hot day and the beauty again. I peel and eat the fruit as is. When I grew up these did not grow here. I first saw dragon fruit in Vietnam about 12 years ago. Someone must have realised how well it grew in tropical Australia and now many Asian-Australians grow it in small quantities locally.Frugal Down Underhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09720230592936575192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6676164108751794518.post-65743690580158207652012-12-30T17:13:57.540-08:002012-12-30T17:13:57.540-08:00I've only tried dragon fruit once (it's in...I've only tried dragon fruit once (it's in the exotic fruit section over here!), but it sort of tasted like a less-strong kiwi fruit. Is that what it's meant to taste like, or did I have a weird one!

Do you just eat the fruit as it is?Bryallenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03077654752721624785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6676164108751794518.post-56639160013198694702012-12-30T16:00:10.128-08:002012-12-30T16:00:10.128-08:00Hi Practical, Recreational leave is paid holiday l...Hi Practical, Recreational leave is paid holiday leave for permanent workers. Most private companies/businesses give their permanent staff 4 - 6 weeks paid leave while most government employees received 6 weeks paid leave per year. Primary and HIgh School teachers receive about 10 - 12 weeks leave during the school holidays.

Enjoy your upcoming week off Lisa. I think a garden makes a huge difference to relaxed conversation compared to sitting in a cramped flat. I dream of a small house, with garden and small pool. But that would just be too expensive for us and we would have to work forever, so I think that can stay a dream.Frugal Down Underhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09720230592936575192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6676164108751794518.post-27989598480520913702012-12-30T12:06:16.891-08:002012-12-30T12:06:16.891-08:00Bit of both here! It is two degrees above freezing here, so hearing about your warm weather is like a fantasy.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
