Our Frugal Lifestyle

My photo
Passionate about eco-frugality. I used to party hard, clubbing my way from pay-packet to pay-packet. Never getting ahead, just getting by. Then came our much wanted baby with no savings in the bank - only an old car. Changes were made to our lifestyle and we didn't turn back. In the past 6yrs we purchased a flat, found employment, lived below our means, built an emergency fund, purchased a reliable car and saw the financial benefits of our frugal lifestyle. Our only debt is our mortgage. Our aim is to manage our cash flow wisely, pay off our home quickly and eventually work for pleasure, not necessity. Join us on our journey, share insights, tips and tricks to help us and others to get ahead while having a good time.

Interviewed For My Frugal Sustainable Living Exploits.

Hi Everyone,

I know.. shame on me.. missing from these pages for so long.  I've been very busy with family, work, chaos, gardening, more chaos and community events. I just can't seem to get my life organised like those Desperate Housewives. (But don't worry I have been lurking on everyones Blogs.) I've also been feeling extremely tired. I think it's due to all the pollen in the air... I have a backpacking naturopath sleeping on my couch latter this week so I will have plenty of questions for her.

I'm here today posting a link to a Radio Interview Dolly (Anais) and I did on Friday. We went to a Swap run by our City Council and were pleasantly surprised to be interviewed for Radio. I had a lot to say and missed important information I would have loved to share with listeners in the hope of inspiring them to be Eco-Frugal. But as my 1st ever Radio interview I'm chuffed it was so well edited and I sound kind of organised.

  4. Great job. I wondered if you were ever coming back. Was that a planned interview or did the woman just walk up and start talking to you?

  5. Thanks NTO, Penny and Carol. Happy to be back.

Hi Practical. This was unplanned on my part. She walked up and asked if she could interview us. In the past I always shied away from interviews and so on. But I have a lot to say nowadays and would really like more people to start being eco-frugal (I need more like minded friends).
