I have a problem of liking junk food wayyyy too much. If I could live on takeaway I would. Salt, Sugar, Fat and MSG saturated food! Yum says my Tongue, Yuck says my Stomach, Unreasonable says my Brain. "Hey" it says "Your supposed to be frugal, smart and eco!!!"
Anyway as I started heading towards a Indian takeaway I stopped and took control of myself.. kind of.. A takeaway meal would cost me $12 and that would not include my sweet treat. So I popped into the supermarket instead and this is what I got for myself:

Plus my work place has a large tea room with this AMAZING view. I gaze at the sea and dream.........
How Lucky Am I! |
So envious of your views at work, WOW! A joy to go to work. We love pizza takeaway so always menu plan a pizza night in there somewhere. We make our own from scratch so know whats in them and it works out a lot cheaper than the takeaway.
ReplyDeleteoh yes and I whip up a stir fry or pizza in no time and keep the money (what money?) in my purse - love froogs xxx
ReplyDeleteI always take my own lunch because where I work it is overpriced and under quality food on sale and I resent paying a fortune for rubbishy food! If I havent any sandwich ingredients then I have been known to take cheese & crackers, it makes a nice change and stops me wasting money.
ReplyDeleteLove the view!because i am retired now,i never buy takeaway, not ever!!i live off of everything from my kitchen and garden, and i try and stretch my dollar's as far as they can go,make every thing from scratch,i allow myself $70.00 a fortnight for my Food, and i eat really well, even have money left over,it's a challenge, but i do it without feeling deprived,xx Carol
