A couple of weeks ago I had a Market Stall at the Happy Yess selling my lovely preloved treasures. There were about 14 stalls on the day, lots of blankets, pillows, musicians playing good music and friends catching up. It was fun as usual and Dolly had a great time playing with children and hula hooping.
I brought home an extra
$52 after all costs of stall and stock and spending from our profit tin on the local talent (cake, iced tea, balloon art, gift tags, badge, veggie burgers). We spent up because it was the 1st birthday of the market and I wanted to give back towards some of the stalls.
I've now placed this money in our travel jar, but Borneo may have to wait one more year for Dolly to be just a little bigger, as I don't have to carry her on a jungle trek.
Here are some picks of the day. Lovely quirky stalls and super friendly people. Feels like one big happy family.

Am I squeezing too much in my life (gardening, stall, blogging, frugal living) around my full time work? Yes definitely, but I don't want to give any of it up as they are enriching experiences, activities and skill building. I just need to find time to put my finances in order and clean my home. How about you? Are you doing too much too?
Yes,I am doing too much. Even without a few disabilities, I would be doing too much. Today is the day I do nothing but dishes and blog stuff and naps. The last few weeks have me undone. I slept 13 hours straight last night, getting up at the exact time I usually set the clock to let the hens out for the day. I went to sleep by 8pm and awoke at 9:07. I did not eat dinner with exbf before he left because I was too exhausted.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young as you, I could still me you, task for task. Don't stop because you do lots. Life is better that way. Hmmm, try it with three children...lol.
Wow! I have never seen rabbits lined up and for sale on a market stall before. Do they always just sit quietly? In answer to your question, yes I defo try to do too much, all the time. It's great to be busy though, I hate being bored. Most creative people like to be busy I think, it just goes with our temperaments.
ReplyDeleteI have been doing too much, but have a half break from school now for a week and a half.
ReplyDeleteYour stall looks lovely and you inspire me to try and sell more vintage goodies.

ReplyDeleteI always think I'm doing a lot but in fact I probably don't do much at all! It just seems that way because I never have anything much to show for my efforts at the end of the day.
